ANZAC day opening hours
Our collection centres will be closed on Thursday 25 April for the ANZAC day public holiday. The following collection centres will also be closed on Friday 26 April:
Easter weekend
All collection centres will be closed on Friday 29 March (Good Friday), Monday 1 April (Easter Monday) and Thursday 25 April (ANZAC day). Collection centres that normally operate on a Saturday, will remain open over the weekend. Click here to view our collection centres.
Histology turn-around times
Awanui Labs Wellington, Wellington Hospital anatomical pathology department wishes to advise our current histology reporting timeframes. Strike action – 5 February
Laboratory testing will be severely impacted on Monday 5 February due to industrial action. All collection centres CLOSED, with the exception of outpatient departments at Wellington, Hutt and Kenepuru hospitals which are available for URGENT testing only. All collection centres will be closed on Monday 22 January for the anniversary day public holiday. Enjoy the long weekend.
Festive season opening hours
Most of our collection centres are open normal working hours over the Christmas and New Year period except for the public holidays. Some centres are closed until 8 January. Details of all opening hours during this time can be found here. We wish you all a safe and happy holiday season.
Change of service in December
Awanui Labs (formerly WSCL) has been issued with strike notices from the APEX union of intended action by its members for December.
